The benefits of visual merchandising have been well discussed in previous literature. For large retail service providers this topic is of special importance. Evidence of challenges for consumers to locate the product that they need has been observed in The Warehouse, Te Rapa. The purpose of this research report is to assess the importance of visual merchandising on customers’ purchasing behaviour at The Warehouse, Te Rapa. In addition, visual merchandising strategies to increase sales at The Warehouse are offered, based on the findings of this study. The primary data for this research project was gathered from 50 questionnaires, which were distributed among customers at The Warehouse, Te Rapa. Many different aspects of visual merchandising, including window displays of the store, floor merchandising, mannequin displays, signage and promotional banners, were reviewed. The results of this report suggest that there is a direct relationship between how the products are displayed and sales

Evaluation of Hindi to Punjabi Machine Translation System

Machine Translation in India is relatively young. The earliest efforts date from the late 80s and early 90s. The success of every system is judged from its evaluation experimental results. Number of machine translation systems has been started for development but to the best of author knowledge, no high quality system has been completed which can be used in real applications. Recently, Punjabi University, Patiala, India has developed Punjabi to Hindi Machine translation system with high accuracy of about 92%. Both the systems i.e. system under question and developed system are between same closely related languages. Thus, this paper presents the evaluation results of Hindi to Punjabi machine translation system. It makes sense to use same evaluation criteria as that of Punjabi to Hindi Punjabi Machine Translation System. After evaluation, the accuracy of the system is found to be about 95%

Mixed Convection Heat Transfer in the Entrance Region of an Inclined Channel

In the present project we have tried to find the convection parameters related to the case of mixed convection in the entrance region of an inclined channel. We have tried to find the trend in the change in the values of various convection parameters related to mixed convection at different set values. We have done mathematical modeling using FORTRAN 77 and tried to follow a new scheme called SAR scheme whose detail we have shown at proper place. by this scheme we have calculated the convection parameters at different coordinates of the channel. This scheme is mainly an iteration process by which we have tried to find the error in each subsequent guesses and we have made an approach to reach the solution

Development of libraries inspired by sparteine

This thesis describes the development of libraries inspired by the natural product sparteine. Multi-gram synthesis of important intermediate representing sparteine core has been carried out. A scalable process has been developed based on the previously reported total synthesis of (+)-sparteine from Aubé's group. Libraries were produced via parallel synthesis and submitted to NIH Molecular Libraries-Small Molecule Repository for biological screening
